In 1971 A train carrying lumber from the forests of Canada to suppliers in the Mid-West derailed just outside of Culbertson, MT. Two brothers, Leroy and Robert Larsen, purchased the contract to salvage the debris. From the reclaimed lumber they established “Larsen Lumber and Hardware” an operation that remained an integral part of the community for 47 years.
As a child Alex could be found around the family lumberyard which by that time had been transferred to Ron Larsen (son of Leroy). Here is where his uncle and grandfather instilled ethical building practices and a true respect for the craft. Working on the Larsen Builder’s crew erecting custom homes throughout the northeastern plains of Montana was a natural fit.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from Montana State University, he pursued a career in civil engineering. Upon realizing that path didn’t suit him he established Northbuilt Construction in 2015 and began working on residential construction projects.
In 2017, Alex, his wife Emilee and their black lab Moose headed south to the Front Range of Colorado. Today you’ll find them working on projects across the Denver Metro and enjoying the outdoors.
You can rest assured that you will be getting the best service possible when you choose Northbuilt Construction.
